how to enable telnet on cisco EPC3008 (DPC3008)? Already have enabled remote_acc_methods (telnet | ssh), telnet_ipstacks (IP1 | IP2), telnet username & password, telnetIpStackInterfaces.0 hex_string 'C0', telnetServerControl.0 int 1
but telnet port on CPE is not opened, always get "Unable to connect to remote host: Connection refused".
Just a regular technical guy (engineer), with no experience in the industry looking for a sanity check.
This is my question->Is there any explanation for why i cant to a simple repetitive ping test to a Ariss 804G modem that isn't connected to the coax without getting significant failures ? Getting intermittent periods of like 60 seconds where the ping returns general failure. Occurs every 20-40 minutes.
After several consultations here in the forum I already have the Docsis file configured with the OID necessary to have access from the Wan to the cable modem, I also add the OID that my Seed client enables me to be able to enter the cable modem management with the password of the day, now when I try to access with the password of the day it does not give me access and in the cable modem log I have this error.
We're having issues with our cable plant (spring and fall) when the temps swing over night. We noticed the losses are much more dramatic in the upper frequencies when the temp swings. We're rural so we have much longer distribution runs than we'd like, but we'll be splitting that up with new fiber nodes soon.
I want to share with you a link of OID to use in Arris Cable Modem, here configure some OIDs in the DOCSIS file and they work for me, for example, access to SSH, Telnet, Web, but the OID to configure password for the user technician does not work for me, I cannot access the cable modem with this user, someone knows what can happen
I have configured my CMTS as ToD Server, in the CMTS configuration I have clock timezone CST -6, when I run a show clock it shows me the time of my region, but the cable modems take UTC time which is 4 hours different from my region, someone knows how I can correct this.
We have a couple of 10ks running MC20x20 cards. We are not running m-cmts as yet but want to start getting ready.
I have dual DTI cards in one server, one needs upgraded I can't find anything on it. Should we set up dti timing or does it do anything for this setup? Is it worthwhile to go ahead and get a timer?
What is the configuration for the DTI cards and failover? Does it have any affect on our existing setup?
