I am a new in cm and docsis, I am trying to bring up the moto SBV5121E. It's sucessful connecting to the provisioning server, and completing the dhcp both for cm and mta, and their tftp download are sucessful too, but the mta provisioning failed. what's the necessary TLV for BASIC.2 flow in the mta config file?
I recently bought a Cisco uBR-7246 with a single MC88V and a couple of Motorola 6120 DOCSIS 3.0 capable modems and I am trying to get my system up and running with the "All in one" setup. I struggled with this because the "All in one" setup doesn't use my MC88V line card, so I had to dig around to figure out how to setup the IP address in a Bundle.
Here is the setup:
MC88V_U0-U3-->4to1_combiner-->40dB-pad-->diplex_flt(low-side)
MC88V_D0-->40dB-pad-->diplex_flt(high-side)
diplex_flt(common)-->Moto_6120(cable-modem)
Last week I noticed a small problem in my network. Cable modems and host have a strange problem in renewing IP addressess.
When modem boots up it gets IP and config from tftp server and looks fine and works.
After half of dhcp-lease time ( like in dhcp std. ) modem and CPE tries to renew its address.
In this case I can see in logs many entries like this:
Mar 13 06:25:14 172.16.1.210 CABLEMODEM[DOCSIS]: <68010100>DHCP RENEW sent - No response

CMTS arris 1000 does not remember ip address after I set it, whenever I restart or reboot it, CMTS forgets its ip address.
I like to read the upstream load in percen for each upstream interface of a casa 3200.
Does someone know if there is a posibility to read that information via SNMP.
I plan to read this information with Cacti
Hi all, I am new to the forum and need a little help.
Background. We have a 550 MHz system being upgraded to 750MHz. Our current headend feeds 60 channels of analog,
with a simulcast of digital. Currently we use ch.2 though ch.82 and we have apx 3500 subs. We also feed IP of all channels
to another system.
Our current router is a CISCO docsis 1.1 with 5 downstream ports feeding 16 nodes. We have apx. 1800 internet subs.
