I would like to know if Ubr10k with UBR-MC20X20V linecards supports more than four bonded upstreams in a mac domain? if
the answer is yes could somobody share the cmts configuration. The Goal behind is to use for Modems which already
support 8 channels bonded in upstream.
I am currently facing some issues with an unstable upstream SNR.
As the two pictures below show two modems connected on different nodes you can see the difference in upstream SNR.
The first one has many ups and downs and is very unstable ( upstream SNR varies from 25-33 ), this value is common in most of the nodes.
The second one is more stable and has a higher value of SNR, about 36.1 ( we were working on the line when there was a drop that lasted 2 hours ) than the first one.
We have checked the nodes and amps and there are no signs of noises.
after trying too long to provision the mentioned SIP-MTA (with Firmware Revision: 9.1.103S1), some kind of frustration comes up. CM is operational and the MTA goes online and loads the appropriate config file - written like:
We are using in our Lab BSR Euro-8*4 CMTS, all are using same config file, for all it is taking 5 to 7 minute to upgrade/downgrade an image, but from my location it is taking almost 3 hour. So what might be the problem,I have checked with all Euro CMTS, changed the RFC feed also, but still now the same problem. Please tell me the solution for this, and this I m facing now on wards, before that it was fine.
How to change the upgrade/downgrade speed from arris config file ?
So have been battling to get modem to come online. Currently modem goes from init(t) to init(o). I have tried debugging the 10k and don't see a lot of information. This is the running config. Maybe someone can see something I don't.
Sorry if this is not strictly Docsis related but I'm confused and need a little help. I'll use the Arris 152220 as an example. It's a 1550nm DFB return laser. The specs say the return levels should be 12dbmv/6Mhz. Part of my confusion is that the cmts will adjust return power from the modems based on channel width. I'm also not entirely sure whether or not the levels should be different based on channel loading. Reading the spec literally I assume 12dbmv per 6Mhz is by my understanding already taking loading into account so the level should be 12 whether I'm using 1 channel or 4.
First time setting up a 10k cmts. We have mc20x20v card and a 5 port gig ethernet on sip 600. Modems are locking on channels and everything is looking good. I can't figure out how to get the modem requests to forward to the provisioning server.
I've tried pinging the gigabit ethernet port and it isn't responding. I've set default routes and default gateway command and nothing. Any help would be great.
