I´m new to DOCSIS 3.0/3.1 and I have an uBR7246VXR which should be run in docsis 3 mode ! I went through forums already and compared to other router configs but somehow no modem will go online in Docsis 3 mode . Here is my config maybe someone can help me out a bit . Btw I disabled the load balance at the moment cause the modems currently running in DOCSIS 2.0 mode start to switch between frequencies .Thanks in advance !
I did a quick search in regards to dual stack, being able to provide ipv4 and ipv6 and didn't see anything.
Modems used are Cisco 3.0 (majority are 8x4), the 10k is running fairly new release with 24x8 bonding. checking the spec of the modems, there's nothing on them about being able support ipv6 on the modem or cpe's behind the modem. Wanted to see if anyone ran into issues or problems going from ipv4 to ipv6
Im doing some testing locally on my modem Have full serial acces with modem key and looking for the OID to disable VOIP on starts.
It looks that my setting get overwritten by config on boot . I want to disable that permanent
Its a Cisco EPC3928 family
We have received a newer firmware for a rather old Hitron BRG-35503 4x4 Cablemodem.
I've set alle the required configuration for upgrading the cm.
But it doesn't start to download any firmware from our tftp server.
Any hint would be helpful.
After a modemreboot I can read all necessary informations by snmp:
Name/OID: docsDevSwServer.0; Value (IpAddress): correct
Name/OID: docsDevSwFilename.0; Value (OctetString): correct
Name/OID: docsDevSwAdminStatus.0; Value (Integer): allowProvisioningUpgrade (2)
Hi. We are going to switch from ubr7225, 2xMC88 to a bigger platform (we don't want to run on 2 or 3 devices). Compact size is preffered due to lack of rack space. Casa C3200 is IMHO too small (max 48/48 or 64/32), c40G is too expensive :)
We are choosing beetween Arris C4c 64/48 (2x32D and 2x24U, max 96D/72D) and Cisco ubr10k 40D/40U (max 160/160 with 20x20 cards). Either refurb.and factory new). Bundle from Arris is a bit more expensive but is more compact.
About 2k customers.
Now question: Which is better?
We are having issues with voice on our network. We have a Pico MiniCMTS200a and the MTA's are connected to a Metaswitch. We only use Arris MTA's and primarily use TM822G's and TM(4-6)02G's. Users are complaining about "static" and this is among several. It comes and goes and we also have frequent issues where we get a SIP 480 response from the MTA. Below is 2 calls to one of the MTA's that had the issue, from the VQM page of the modem. Ask any questions to clarify. Any suggestions to try would be helpful. Also, we are running 9.1.103S.SIP and DQOS is off in the feature switch.
