I am testing the Netgear CG300D CMs in a DOCSIS 3.0 environment(4 bonded channels). We have one cable system that runs the HRC style frequency plan. Using EIA channels 81-84 the center freqs would start at 565.75MHz and add 6MHz for each adjacent channel. I have this configured on the CMTS. When the Netgear comes online it shows in the modem connection page that it locked on 565778200 hertz.
Im trying configure for the first time ubr10k. We have some ubr7k and we want migrate to the new one. We work with docsis 1.1 and now we need work with docsis 1.1 and 3.0 for the new modems.
Im trying put all modems working, but the speed is very bad, sometimes i cant test the speed. I lose packets to outside.
Basically we want to know what configuration is required to build a provisioning server that will communicate with our CMTS device model Prevail WCM-2086 (DOCSIS 1.1).
I am working on a L2VPN solution for one of our customers. I wanted to try to use the CM config file and put the VPN config in there. Our customer has 3 CMs off various nodes on our plant and a fiber connection using dot1q vlan trunks. Now I need to break the rules for networking, I need to get all of these modems and fiber vlan into a "broadcast domain". So I have the 3 modems in VLAN 100, 101 and 102. The modem config file is attached for VLAN 102 modem but they are all the same config(obviously except VLAN ID).
I have a problem with Motorola SVG1501E cable modems. Many clients are complaining about wireless service.
The laptops can not connect? I don't know how to fix the problem? I use this config file :
I've to do each month a traffic report to analyses the evolution of bandwidth. Last saturday 27th October, the hour change, the clocks were turned backward 1 hour. During the changing hour, we notice a huge increase of the feed bandwidth to impossible values, as you can see on the pictures attached. We notice abnormal values on cable plant too. The CMTS UBR10k are connected in layer2 to BGP Router.
My question : Have anyone notice the same behavior ? Someone know the cause of such behavior ?
Anyone here have a trashed ARRIS C3 that's not usable? Maybe, sell parts off of it. I need one or 2 front panels. The things are far too flimsy to last long-term.
