I have the doubt if it's possible to bond 1 DS port with 4freq. on one MC20x20 to another DS Port with 4freq. on another MC20x20 ? The goal is to have with 2 MC20x20 LineCard 5 DS Bonding Group with 8freq. each.
From my point of view, it's not possible.
Currently for docsis 3.0 modems in DS and i have config with bonded up to 8 channels . Goal is to add 4 channels more to configuration but i want to done that with RFGW1
I would add WB SPA card into ubr10k , and connect it to rfgw1 .
Does anyone done that ? How to bond 4 or 8 DS channels from mc20x20 with 4 channels on rfgw1 ?
I've run into this odd problem twice now, wondering if anyone else has seen a similar problem.
In both instances the following is common;
Problem only occurs with DOCSIS 3 modems regardless of manufacturer, but not DOCSIS 2 or older.
CASA CMTS using cable-helper (A 2200 and 3200)
Windows DHCP Server (Windows 2000, and 2003)
I have identical configurations with Linux DHCP servers that do not experience this problem.
I've a doubt about the possibility to configure a UBR10k (PRE2 + 4x MC5x20) and RFGW-1 EQAM. I would like to configure two nodes with 8DS each (16DS in total) exclusively from the RFGW, so we will use the US from the MC5x20 LC and 16 DS from RFGW, no DS will be used on LC. Is this possible ? How could I adapt actual config. (attached) to achieve such configuration ?
Hello,
being new in HFC network and DOCSIS world, I was wondering if there is a way to assign to CMs IPs form different pool of addresses based on different locations in a HFC network.
More specific: we have a CMTS with an external DHCP attached to a HFC distribution network. For troubleshooting purpose I would like creating pool of address for each specific location (subnetting) and have CMs assigned an IP address based on the location where they are. That would make my life easier to detect the location of a faulty CM in the network.
