I am in the process of replacing our TFTP servers. They run Linux (Fedora) and tftp-hpa. We have a bunch of Toshiba cable modems on our network (PCX1100U) and these modems can't download the config files on the new severs. All other modems can.

I have tried other tftp servers such as atftp and tftpserver. No matter what I do the Toshiba's won't download their config files. Through logging this appears to be a timeout issue. I've tried adjusting the timeout value but it doesn't make a difference.

Where can I find detailed documentation for docsis 1.1 config file options.

Does "ClassifierRef" option must be unique per config file per cmts.

Example I have config files 1024.cfg and 2048.cfg.

In 1024.cfg I have ClassifierRef 15 for US and ClassifierRef 16 for DS
Can I have same ClassifierRef values in 2048.cfg?

Is there a MIB out there that can clear the CPE table on a cable modem? I'm not trying to clear the entry on the cmts table, I'm talking on the cable modem itself. What I want to be able to do is clear the CPE entries from the modem, so a new CPE can be put in place without power cycling the cable modem. Basically cause the modem to "forget" what is connected to it.

1. Is it correct that C4 can`t work with VLANs at all.
So if I`m correctly understant, if I need connect C4 to 2 routers I have to use 2 ports, for example GigabitEthernet & FastEthernet. Both of them is Layer 3 interfaces.

I have some questions concerning CableLabs option code 122 for DHCP server (the one for MTA's)...

Does anyone know for some good and possibly open source dhcp server that support it, but not that I need to enter it in hex form (prefferably with some frontend or config file where I could input it in normal forms via suboptions, and then the dhcp server would calculate the option on it own).

I've made one config file who creates 4 service flows, 2 of them are for
10.44.240.0/20 which is our VoIP Subnet. I just wanted to see yours idea for packet prioritization.

I already configure the
FE0/1 as 10.10.10.1
cable1/0 as 10.10.10.1 secondary
no l2-bg-to-bg-routing

just missing the configuration of the cable modem. Please help me. thanks

I've got a Arris C3 CMTS and DOCSIS 2.0 compliant Cable Modems.

DOCSIS 2.0 with BPI+ mode seems to be fully operational but I keep on getting "Bandwidth Request Failure" messages in the serial interface of the cable modem. I'm generally only running 5 or 6 modems at the same time with very little traffic.

I'm attaching my configurations.
Could anyone please tell me what I'm doing wrong?

I find very difficult to get technical info about sbv5120 cablemodem from motorola.

I know that it runs on MGCP protocol, and that supports g711.

Can anybody tell me which other voip codecs does this cm supports?

We have installed docsis_server-2.0.4 without any problem and our CMs can get online, but the problem is that no PC is able to get its IP form the docsis_server.

This is our config of the config_nets table:
