have somebody problem with bsr2000 like this:

from time to time cmts is restarting itself. it happen randomly and in couple of minutes is up. interesting is, that as reload reason is power reset. but all equipment is backed up on UPS.
used firmware : SW Version: 1.0.0P49.03.TRCU, BOOTR: 1.0.25.

before, i have used 49 firmware, and happen mysterious crashes. cmts got frozen.i have to do reload command at console and restart cmts.

does somebody ploblem like this?

We have purchased a used Arris 1000 CMTS via internet, but when we turned it on, it was loaded with other settings than default.
Default username and password are not accepted, neither via console or telnet access.

I have contacted the company that sold it to us, but all they know is that it was a device bought from somebody else.

Since I do not have console access, and it is too expensive to ship the unit back to the USA from here, can anybody tell me if there is any way to reset the device back to factory settings other than through console access ?

I have a problem:
If I upload through Emta lan interface with iperf (iperf -cx.x.x.x -fk -i 1 -t 300 -u -b 1000m -P 2 ), the emta not give line. When i shutdown the iperf, telephone is work properly. If telephoning to proceed, and start iperf then ain't problem.

I wan't to try the eurodocsis standard, but only have arris 550A modems, anyone know if its posible to change the firmware from one to another ?

We're a cable/broadband/mobile-transmission/etc company who has developed a full solution for management and monitoring of Docsis broadband networks.

For ToD we're using the internal UDP-server in Linux.

Just recently we installed the application on a 64bit machine (running Ubuntu server).
There seems to be a problem with the ToD-response, the Motorola CMs doesn't accept it.

i'm looking for docsis 2/3 frequency plan.
the allocated channels, channel widths, channel spacing ..... upstream and downstream.

I am trying to do an Image upgrade for a DOCSIS 1.1 Cable modem, I have set the following information in the config file for the cable modem to download the new image after reboot.

TFTP Server 10.1.1.1

Software FileName : sfot_189.img

After rebooting the modem the cable modem downloads the config file and comes online , but fails to download the firmware mentioned in the config file , instead it trows the following error.

Configuration File CVC Validation Failure.

Can someone help me sorting out this firmware upgrade issue.

Each time my CMTS restart, the IP address, subnet mask and gateway IP reset to 0.0.0.0, but for other parameters still OK, any idea ?
