Can any body help me out to contorl on wire less connections behind CM from CMTS or DHCP or by TFTP .

I am testing some cable modems with MTA incorporated.I have some problems to get them online .I am using linux dhcp server that is configured to assign only CM IP address.
I want to provide three IP for the modem ,:CM.MTA.and WAN (for internet ) (class''CM'' class"MTA" and class"CPE-or not-docsis")
Please ,can someone send me a DHCP configuration that works .

I install docsis_server 3.5 on sles 10.2. MySQL 5.0.26. I'm try configure --> mysql --> dhcp_server update tables, but not successfully!
Doc from server 2.0.4 does not quite fit,
How to fill a table mysql dhcp_server?
I would be grateful for any assistance.

SNR problem in DOCSIS network

We got a BSR64k running in docsis 1.1. We have hooked a modem up directly to the back of it and it is running corrected codewords when streaming data over the internet with an occasional uncorrectable. Is this normal? We are thinking that this should be clean and not running any corrected data. We have tried different modems and slots as well (sb5101, sb5120, and slots 11,12,13). Corrected codewords are about the same no matter what.

Software - 3.1.1.16P05.KRCU
CMTS 1x4 - RDN PPC 3.1.0.26
SBG900 - sbg900-2.1.9.7-scm00-nosh
16qam - 32mhz
256qam - 117mhz

Modem Levels

Hi all,

I'm trying to do a kind of traffic shaping in Cable Modem, so when traffic reaches the maximum sustained rate of a service flow, the ping reply from cable modem to be stable, not to go from 300 ms to 2000 ms.

Is this related to MaxTrafficBurst maybe?

Below is one of my service flow:.

Upstram Flow
Service Flow Reference = 1
QoS Parameter Set = 7
Traffic Priority = 1
Max Sutained Rate = 512000

I am new to docsis and trying to setup docsis_server to manage a small cable system.
I was wondering if anyone has ever come accross this message and how it can be resolved. This is the message that I am getting in the sys_log from within docsis_server:
NAK -- unknown docsis modem macaddressOfmodem

I reboot the modem and it keeps sending out this message above.

And below is the state of the modem when I run show cable modem on the CMTS. (ip and mac info left out on purpose)

Has somebody experience with configuring CM's to trunk different vlan's? A little bit of help in putting me in de right direction would be appreciated a lot. What I liked to try is setting up the following configuration:
2 CM's, both connected to a cisco device, let's say a cat2960 where CM's are connected to ports that are configured in trunk mode. So a trunk is established between both catalysts. CM's are registered on the same CMTS (uBR 10K).

I am looking for some direction on a problem I have.

I have a DCM-2000 CMTS with MPthrills management/provisioning system.

This is a lab testing setup and I have tested 1,000's of modems like DCM, SB4100, AMBit, 3com all Docsis 1.0/1.1

The SB5120 is 2.0 and 1.1 capable from what I see on the spec sheet. The SB5120s I am using were previously tested "GOOD"

The config file I am using is static and very basic.

My 1st question is, Does a DCM-2000 CMTS allow me to provision an SB-5120 or SB-5101 along with the other modems SB4100
