Im currently developing an OpenSource software solution for provisioning and monitoring a CMTS, specifically for the BW3200 (for now), and I need some help in getting the information for the CMs via snmp. For example SNR values, traffic counters, etc.
I have run snmpwalk on the CMTS and directly on CM, but I dont have the appropiate MIBs, nor i understand what OID relates to what (just the evident ones, such as the firmware version and so).
Can anyone help me with this? MIBs should be great, but any sugestions on what OIDs to watch will be great too.
Greetings we can supply three Arris C3 CMTS pn 713919 1D 6U for $3900.00ea. This equipment has been tested working and ships with 90 day hardware warranty. Thank you.

Hi,all
i just tried the Docsis_server 3.5 on Ubuntu 12.04.I have installed it(from http://users.accesscomm.ca/docsis_server/docsis-server-current.tar.bz2). But I don't kown how does it working.Do I need to install the ISC DHCP server,TFTP server,SYSLOG server and TOD server in addtion.
I do care why" LOG ERROR: Executable not found (/usr/local/bin/docsis)",where can I find the perl script to dynamic generate config file?
please help!
thanks!
1.by CONFIG FILE is 10
2.by overiding in cisco cmts max cpe cli is 16
when i use , the snmp object cdxCmtsCmMaxCpeNumber , we know it return max cpe value through polling cmts.,
my doubt is which max_cpe value it returns 10 0r 16
i mean does it return the one configured by docsis config file or one overridden by max cpe cli command in cmts ??
I am at a standstill with this docsis system. I'm sure its just because its over my head. But at least I have determination to finish. My config file is so close my test modem lights with all lights. The ubr7246vxr with a show cable modem command says it is online. I connect to the cm, no internet. I am setting the ubr up with its own static ip to connect directly to the internet (isp), with the all in one config. What I need help on is the correct config commands to place those static ips behind.
Hi,
At work, I have been put in a position where I can manage CMTS systems. The reason for this is that guy who has been working on CMTS is on another project.
The things I am looking to add on for my test design are
- Improve download speeds through buying faster hardware.
- Enable SNMP Access for everything
- Enable Telnet Access
- Maybe look into MTA Asterix system and improve system.
- Enable Access to all MIB's
I have SNMP access to cablems on my lab CMTS. I am not sure if this access is restricted.
How do I make sure that any device on my lab CMTS has unrestricted access to every Cable modem. No restrictions.
