Hi all!
I am trying make cacti work for bsr2000, traffic, modemcount and SNR for upstream ports usual stuff but unfortunately I am unsuccessfull, maybe if someone is useing cacti for profisioning can help me with templates how to graph SNR and modem count, for trafic I think we whill have no problem but SNR what is which is wery usefull we cant make it work.
Cacti ver. is 0.8.7b and firmware of CMTS is 1.0.0P49.TRCU
Hi All,
By looking at various subjects running on forum. All are running all kinds of CMTS,CM,Provsioing systems available on earth.
But one comman problem all faced are SIGMA.
Popular solution suggested by CMTS/CM vendors is BPI+.
Due to some limitation(technical/operational) we are not able to implement it.
Yes we can identify that SIGMA modem by checking MAC.But going by the law. It's a time/money consuming thing to prosecute .
Any other workaround it possible? To prevent those kinds of modems to become online.
I try to install Ca manufacturer certificate (Thomson) on the BW, but it wasn't success. Read the Ops manual, execute the operation step by step, but I always get error:
cable privacy certificate root 10 30 82 03 4f 30 82 02 f9

Hello , does someone know who to use theus feature of the BSR64K ?, is there the need of using a software besides the configuration of the fft and snr made on the BSR? , I have noticed that when a display , for instance
Power Level Measurement - Slot : 2, Port : 1
==================================================
Number of Samples : 512, 9th Receiver Opmode : Tap-in
Window Coefficient used : Rectangular
Start Frequency : 0 Hz, End Frequency : 81920000 Hz
Frequency Step Size : 320000 Hz
I'm having trouble setting the interface upstream description, it seems like I only can set the cable description and not for each upstream. I haven't seen any info on this on the manual.
I am trying to set up my uBR7246 VXR and CNR6.1 to have CM and MTA fully provision. I have been able to successfully provision individual modem manufacturers, however, when I try to provision multiple modem manufacturers, I am stuck. I will have to list the Modem MAC under client's for it to get its file. Is there a way to assign a range of MAC using CNR? For example can I set something like (00a345000000 00a345ffffff) such that any modems in this range will get a specific config file?
recently we put another CMTS in service in our network. I have defined new config files for modems that need to go to this CMTS. In that config file I specified it's downstream frequency and upstream channel ID to which I want them to connect. Most of the modems did that correctly, but we have some 10% that receive the file and then do nothing. It looks like they could not find that upstream channel.
