Can anyone point me towards some documentation on setting up packet filtering and traffic classification through modem config configuration files?

QOS is becoming a big issue on our networks, so I want to start classifying traffic at the modem as well as lock it down a little tighter.

I am currently looking for a used, surplus BSR1000. Does anyone have one in excess after an upgrade that they want to sell?
Or maybe you are downsizing.

Also, please keep us in mind for other asset recovery situations that may come up.

Hello! I've a strange problem with DHCP Requests with some CPEs and hope that someone here knows a solution. There is a uBr7223 with two cable interfaces Cable2/0 and Cable3/0 in a bundle. Then I've configured an "cable helper-address" to forward DHCP-Requests to a Linux-Host running ISC dhcpd. Everything works perfectly, but sometimes some hosts could not receive a IP address anymore.

Hi, i'm exhausted to retry to make a docsis configuration files that uses ugs-ad scheduling type, i don't understand abou US Service Flows.

Anybody can help me with a template values for these? I'm using:

S01 Service Flow Reference = 1

Need, if exist, SNMP OID for Arris C3 that is replacement for CLI "copy running-config startup-config", ie. after some some changing using snmpset I need to remember it.

Is there any body experiencing cm online but cm hard to get an ip address from dhcp. I'm using opensource ISC dhcp server does something to do about this issue. Is there any good opensource for dhcp server?

Is there any BPI+ SNMP OIDs required in the DOCSIS 1.1 CM file for proper operation?

I am trying to implement BPI+ with a DOCSIS 1.1 CM file for the first time. Everything seems to sync up fine and I get a good lock and I can surf through the modem but I keep getting this error message poping up. This is on a Cisco uBR7114. Any Ideas???

Hi all!

Did anyone try to make fax and pos terminal working on cm's?
We are using thg520 and thg540 cm's. As i expirienced, some fax
machines are working properly. We are using docsis 1.1 standard.
Any ideas? What about other cm's?

I've been working with normal DOCSIS cable modems ( without VOIP ) for some time now .. well .. didn't get too much problems .. they just worked .. create the simple conf file .. 'compile' it .. put it in dhcp .. made a simple php script to generate dhcp entries based on sql .. anyhow .. everything worked well ..
now .. voip .. thg540 .. I noticed I had to add something new to it in order to make the usb usable for example ..
