looking for documentation on the above product which is no longer supported. Having issues with login (telnet) from the package above with new D3.0 CMTS.

can someone please explain the difference between a modulator and upconverter??
whats the diference between a IF and RF? The Upconverters are desing for Digital Signals?
Can i use a analago agil modulator for a CMTS DS ports?

Help regarding the PacketCable Specifications

I tried to read the specification of the MTA provisionning document and tried to understand the use of the follwoing to these two MIBs. I was not clear weather they are required or optional.
The two MIBs in question are the pktcMtaDevCmsKerbRealmName and pktcMtaDevCmsIpsecCtrl. We are not using the secure flow.

We tried removing these two MIBs but the MTA would not initialize.

if i have a ubr 7246vxr with four 6x1 Cards.
the four downstream ports need to operate in diferents frequencys?

ie. with the nortel arris 1000 i take the 117000Mhz (channel 99) for DOCSIS work
if i put a ubr7246vxr need four channels to get it work?!

We are looking for small cable cos that presently bill manually or use OTS (Off the shelf) billing solutions to bill their customers and have the burning desire but lack the resources to purchase or build and deploy a fully functional cable video/data/voip billing system.

Anyone have a used but fully working D2 or D3 CMTS (Cisco, Arris, CASA, Moto) for lab testing purposes?

we have a few Arris C4, but in this new espansion, we find very good prices for Cisco uBR10K with PRE4 and MC20x20 RF Cards,
does anyone have both, to tell me the pros and cons of Cisco compare with Arris C4? We are using for VOICE, the DxQOS od C4
to create the separeted flows to voice, the Cisco (at the datasheet) tells that works the same, but i have doubts.
