Certain cable modems will be unavailable from Cisco 10k CMTS. In principle, they are online, but they cannot be pinged, they do not respond to ip. However, if I try to "ping docsis MAC_ADDR", there will be an answer. After a modem restart, the tcp connection starts, but it only works for 10-20 minutes. :( Mostly affects modems, Arris type. If I replace cable modes with another one in the same place, it will work. :( What can cause such an error?
Regards!
Looking for best practices in modem config files. I have a couple of questions.
I want to play with the following ds/us rates and their max traffic burst. What percentage is max traffic burst typically over sustained and does anyone have an easy to understand explanation for it?
I'm looking for an OID to monitor the active cm count on the upstream bonded interfaces in the Ubr10k (12.2(33)SCF3). Could someone please let me know if this exists?.
At this moment I'm using cdxIfUpChannelCmActive from ciscoDocsExtMIB for non-bonded interfaces and it's working ok but it's not showing the bonded interfaces.
Hi guys

We currently have two service flows defined in our EMTA config, I'm looking for info on how this works? It appears the voice has allocated 384k and prioritized via a packetclass on the upstream and downstream. Is this bandwidth carved out of the CMTS or only used when a voice call is setup/active? See below. I'd like to unify our CM configs and EMTA configs, if the bandwidth isn't carved upon registration, I'm hoping it is dynamically allocated only during a call. See my SF config below.

Six months ago, in my company, we upgrade our cisco ubr7246vxr to an Ubr10K. Before when using the ubr7246, we used remote-query to get the cable modems 2.0 downstream and upstream information without problem. But since moving to the Ubr10K the remote-query doesn't work the same as before, now we can only get the upstream SNR right, but nothing about the downstream and even upstream power information is missing. When we started using the upstream bonding, the CMs 3.0 started reporting their upstream power and upstream SNR with remote-query.
