I am using DOCSIS 1.0. .Since downstream modulation is 256QAM.
This way I can get Max 37 mbps throughput.Now i have added new downstream card with New downstream frequency (different from previous one).Now can i multiplex both the downstream and feed to single transmitter?

I reserve a small number of addresses in each of my DHCP public subnet pools for static assignments to businesses, etc. How do I prohibit a user from hijacking one of these unused addresses and simply plugging it into their setup? I presume it's a very simple class definition/designation and then applied to the host entry?

I have a node that has a SNR issue. The SNR never peaks 26dB but always holds steady at 25-26dB while my other nodes hold 34-36dB. We use all SA/Cisco Gainmaker 870 gear. Checking the Port codeword errors and corrects it is our lowest error rate % port "Peaks 1.04% correct / 0.01% uncorrect" and thats only for a matter of a few minutes. This strikes me odd, so we hooked up our meter to the return and you couldn't ask for a more ingress clear return. The entire span from 5-55Mhz looked like this......
