I was wondering if there are currently any non-commercial use Docsis/CMTS software/tools for purchase to use in a personal home network. I work with DocsisTools; ver 7.10.1 and was wondering is there similar software for home use? I think it would be very useful to know what my bonded channels are or to investigate my own LDAP Bootfile. Does any such software exist? Thank you
We have a CASA C2200 CMTS and recently being used for NTP Reflection Attack. I am trying to figure out how can I block requests coming in from Internet for NTP but could not figure out a good way of doing this. Did anybody figure this out?
Thanks,
Gent

Hi
anybody have some experience with setting L2oGRE tunnel at cable modem from configure file ?
I need example configure file for L2oGRE configuration, special flow for hotspot service,
I'm new to the DOCSIS world. Can someone tell me the difference between cablemodem config files ?
I have found .bin and .cfg files. They don't look the same.
Is one of them preferable over the other ? When should you use .bin and when .cfg ?
Does anyone have any experience trying to set static multicast sessions on cable modems?
Specifically, using TLV 64 (CMTS Static Multicast Session Encoding).
I have the group entered, and a CMIM of 47FF (should cover all CPE interfaces).
I believe the problem I am running into is with the extended MIC settings. I am trying to flag TLV 64, but just not quite sure how to do it. Is it supposed to be a binary value or a hex value (that represents said binary value?). Or something else?
