I am not really familiar with ARRIS CMTS Devices and was dump in my lap. We have a lab C4 that needs its SW code upgrade. Can someone tell me what i need to do? I already have the new image and already copied its run-config.

We have this setup in our headend

UBR7246VXR with Internet on d1 and d2 cable modem avec Voice service on TM602. We had migrated all internet only on UBR10012 on 8 DS to use D3 features. Everything working fine. We keep TM602 on ubr7246VXR.

But, we always see TM602, trying to go on ubr10012 to log on, but have to stay in ubr7246VXR (Scan probably the frequency of ubr10012, before getting on UBR7246VXR.. and cause that trouble)

if there anyway to tell the ubr10012, to go see ubr7246VXR for theses TM602 modems voice..

I would like to know if it is possible to get a Docsis 3 modem to establish a connection on a Docsis 1.1 CMTS.

I am aware that CMTS has the info of CM's -Total US/DS data throughput, but not sure how exactly the billing is done for end user?

Looking for a way to locate which cable interfaces in bulk ips are on. Looking to move from one chassis to another and need to locate all Static ips by cable interface so i know which to move.

Anyone ever have to do this ? advice?

I am just wondering why sub-bundle interface is using on CMTS and how CMTS recognize the ip subnet in sub-bundle interface.
Any valuable answer for this will be highly appreciated.

I was researching in the forum, but couldn't find the specific information.
I need to prevent access from the customers into the modem config interface in order to disable administration options like set a static IP address. Just left open the diagnostics page.
One of the modems we typically use is the cisco dpc2325 but we also have Motorola and others.
Do you know some generic modem config to do this?

So I'm the new guy to docsis. I have been learning some much in the last few weeks. One thing that I'm stuck on is the DHCP server.

I have a CMTS and 5 modem setup in my lab. But they are stuck in a init(d).

After doing some reading, I need to the DHCP server to assign IP address. The CMTS is on separate network so it can not reach the internet.

Is there a software that I can install on my Window7 machine that would do the DHCP IP assignment.

I'm trying to set up a 8 DS WB Channel on a MC20x20 card. I currently have 4 DS WB working. Can someone give me an example of how to make an 8 DS one? Thanks.
