According to a Motorola rep:
Quote:We had two issues that delayed production on this product:
A manufacturing test failure that required a new firmware development and release (the test that failed is not a scenario that the end user would experience, but we had to resolve it for manufacturability).
We also experienced some parts shortages from suppliers, but this was secondary to the first issue.
Both issues have been resolved and the next production date is August 12th.
we have a Cisco CMTS UBR 10012 and Thomson TCM 420 cable modems running Eurodocsis standard
the problem is that we never get upload speeds over 2,7 mbit. does anybody have some experience about cisco ubr's and configuration running Docsis 2.0
the modem is showing MAC: Docsis 2.0 QOS: Docsis 1.1 channel width is at 6,4 mhz in the upstream running qam 64 - the modem shows that he is connected with QPSK in the upstream
we have 4 docsis cmts(BSR2000) I got a problem when the modem aquire ip address in CPE side.. Because when look at the logs the ip address tried to acquire of the computer is different subnet and not the one configured in the cmts i check the routes in linux box its correct and double check the ip address for the cpe in cmts its also correct!
"It acquire the ip address for cpe configured in cmts 2 but the modem is configured in cmts 1 and they have there own ip subnet for cpe"
I have a nice RTP stream encapsulated in DOCSIS headers that works great in Ethereal, but I would like to export the packet capture without the DOCSIS stuff so that I can manipulate it in another protocol analyzer.
I have a CPE (Cisco Router 1841) behind a CM which has an interface with 802.1Q encapsulation, and it is in VLAN 27.
Another Cisco 1841 is connected in the same switch where CMTS is connected, and also has an interface with 802.1Q encapsulation, and VLAN 27. The Switch ports where CMTS and the Cisco 1841 are connected are configured in trunk mode and they allow VLAN 27 to pass. The schema should look like below:
