Motorola BSR64000 *Help*

Forums:

Hi people

I know I am new to this and this is my first post but I require a little help, well maybe a lot of help.

I would for a company who have been using Cisco VXR's and 10K series UBR's but recently they have also fitted a number of new Motorola BSR 64000's

Currently the documentation we have been provided if a little confusing. We do not have full root access to these BSR's only command line access via a hop box into the network.

With the Cisco equipment we use commands such as.

show cable modem
show cable modem cpe
show cable modem flap

Arris Cornerstone CMTS 1500 setting system IP address

Forums:

Hello,

I'm unable to set the system ip address of the cmts, it is there, but the system keeps telling me it's 0.0.0.0

Anybody an idea what's wrong here? all other settings are kept saved except for ip-address subnet gateway, and date and time.
Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Regards.
Donald.

docsis configurator - Where is docsis_symtable.h file?

Forums:

I installed docsis-0.9.5 fine on my WinXP machine (and my Sun Unix workstation) and am using it successfully to encode/decode the files.

I would like to add few new configuration settings and per the doc/index.html, all I need is to add them to the docsis_symtable.h.

However, I can't find any .c or .h files. Any clue? It seems that the src files are deleted during the .exe making. If so, then how could one change any setting.

Thanks for your help.

Cheers,
Raj

MTA Lockup and dtmf using rfc2833 in sip mode problems

Forums:

I have some problems trying to startup my telephony service.

I have 1 Arris 402p running fine, but refuse to send dtmf tones outband. (I am sending the telephony events codec, and setting the callp feature. I readed in some Arris paper that this callp feature work only in ncs mode. Is that true ?

I have some 501A that come with packet cable firmware, I upgraded to SIP firmware, but lockup when receive the dhcp offer (the same that work with the 402p.
The firmware in the 501A is TS060151D_033009_NA.MODEL_4_5.SIP.TELNET_ON.

C3 Upstream freeze

Forums:

Hi
I am having some issues with our 2 Arris C3. Since 2 months ago randomly some upstream port hang up, showing the snr value, buy 0 for mer, and of course all the modem go down. If I shut and no shut the port nothing happened, only reload solve the issue.

Any Ideas ?

I have suspect about noise in the lines, but the thing about reload is very annoying.

Thanks !
PS I Already open a case with our local Arris Support.

Arris / Cornerstone 1000 & Centos 5.3 (ISC DHCP 3.05)

Forums:

I have a Cornerstone 1000 have I have several different modem vendors the system will not register their DHCP offered IP addresses with. THe DHCP server is an Centos 5.3 w/ ISC DHCP 3.05;

The problem vendors are:
00:10:95:xx:xx:xx
00:0f:9f:xx:xx:xx
00:90:64:xx:xx:xx

I know the DHCP server is working because I see the leases on MAC's 00:50:da:xx:xx:xx.

The owner of this CMTS stated that previously the netadmin had to create a "wildcard" and this resolved the issue... Please anyone with ANY advice please chime in...

It appears from the debug from the CMTS:

WORKING:

downstream bandwidth

Forums:
