I need some assistance trying to get DS channel bonding working on a Cisco 7225VXR. I have a few modems online and functioning properly but I can't seem to get the modem to lock on the other 3 DS using channel bonding. From what I've read I think everything is configured properly. This is my first 3.0 attempt. Were looking to deploy 3.0 later this year and would like to get some testing/breaking completed before we have to deploy. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. One other question is, are there any special requirements in the modem config file to tell it to use channel bonding?
I'm new in this area of DOCSIS / HFC and the company I'm working received a Cadant C3 CMTS to configure, but I'm not able to configure it. Actually I can not access the command prompt via the console terminal. Always prompts user name and password, this is normal. Is there a default username and password? It should not be like the cisco equipment where the first access via terminal is released without a password and then the settings are made.
It is necessary to update the firmware first? If so could inform the correct procedures to perform?
We offer cable internet service as well as a VoIP service which uses a Linksys ATA to our customers and we're trying to find a way to essentially make a 'voiceonly' modem config that will block access to all addresses except for our class 5 switch's session border controller and our ATA provisioning server and 'support' servers like our NTP cluster and so on.
I have a uBR7246VXR with MC-16S Cards (Running D1.1) and cant find good documentation for apply security on this system.
I heard that BPI and Pre-Shared Key are the best options using this CMTS.
Does anyone know how to implement them in the CM files and CMTS?
How and where I create those Certificate?
I wonder if anyone know how to force a CPE to get an IP from a pool based on CM MAC Filtering, not using a specific Ethernet CPE MAC... In other words, I need that CPEs behind determinated cable modems get an IP from a pool destinated for that cable modems CPEs.
7246VXR Not showing mc16u cable linecards, looks like a chassis boot issue for some reason.
I'm trying to help some with an old vxr platform. While the chassis has 4 mc16u cards in it, none of them show in the configuration. Any ideas on what's missing? Wrong IOS or what???
