Hello everyone. I wanted to ask if anyone running DOCSIS3.0 could provide some insight on how they setup 65+Mbps downstream service flows. Typically what I do is provision the CM config file to be ~10% higher than the advertised speeds, so for 50Mbps advertised service I provision 55Mbps. I'm just not sure how well this will scale. Our company want to offer two higher tiers than we do now(our highest is 50Mbps). I've been asked to build 65Mbps and 80Mbps. I have only what's required in the CM config file for the service flow, everything else is default settings.

Anyone could send me a firmware for to use voice SIP? Is it possible convert cable-modem with packet-cable to SIP?

Necesito ayuda con un cmts motorola BSR1000, no puedo ingresar a la configuracion, se queda el prompt en "bsr1k_d>" le pongo enable y me pide password, al revisar la configuracion veo que tiene el usuario sysadmin con el mismo password, pero al poner ese password no me permite el ingreso, me dice que "Bad Passwords", espero y alguien me pueda ayudar, saludos.

Does anyone have any new(er) software for the DPX2203? We have a few of these deployed and they are currently running v1.1.2r1151-080311. Any help would be appreciated. I am also trying to enable the various webpages and can't find any docs on how to do this.

Has anyone ever seen any issues at all with Sonicwall Routers behind cable modems after changing from any other CMTS into an Arris C4c CMTS?

We have struggled with a problem by using TM822 and CM820 with the updated version of FW 7.5.125 in 100% D2.0 environments. Specifically, the CM froze in init(o). After talking with technical guys at ARRIS we finally got a solution. It is necessary to set this OID to 0:

arrisCmDoc30SetupExtendedUpstreamTransmitPowerValue.0 (Integer32) 0

I hope this information can help someone else.

Would it be correct, for better understanding and simplicity, to classify (split) all OID Identifiers into two main categories:
1. OIDs providing status (info) about something (provisioning, load, frequency,etc) Those OIDs are read-only access.
and
2. OIDs that allow to set or change specific parameters. Those OIDs are read-write access.

i'm in trouble with some TLS dot1Q over a Cisco uBR 7225

my topology is the following
SWL3 --- uBR --- CM --- CPE

i'm using VLAN int 2717 in SWL3 and i need to reach the CPE.
these are the lines in the uBR

cable l2-vpn-service xconnect nsi dot1q
cable dot1q-vc-map H.H.H GigabitEthernet0/3 2717

and just enable the BPI in the DOCSIS file TLV29 and with some commands on cable interfaces

Is there any benefits using Cisco MC-16S (Spectrum) instead of MC16C?

I personally have tried both Cisco Cards on my UBR7246VXR but I still don't find any difference.
I don't get the idea of the "spectrum group" could I have more upstream bandwidth using MAC-16S Cards and the
spectrum group?
I really would like to understand the differences here..
