Got sorted thanks to some help from Carl.
My last hurdle is figuring out how to handle PPPoE traffic.
The way our Arris CMTS is configured is the Modems which have PPPoE traffic behind them are on VLAN3 and the CMTS is set up as a bridge so its layer2 as far as the router on VLAN3 which sees the PPPoE discovers. The way I do this with Cisco uBR is configure as a LAC and a L2TP tunnel is brought up the the LNS. Whats the best way to do this with BSR64K?
I see reverences to vLANS and bridges on the CLI guide I have but not the config docs I have.
I'm wondering how much control you folks give the CMTS for spectrum management as well as some "best practices." Do you define any frequency info on the port or only a spectrum group? Port only and not use spectrum groups? In the spectrum group do you define a single frequency (center frequency) or a band? Is the band a single channel width or more? Do you allow multiple channel widths? Modulation Profiles? Cards in question are MC5x20 and MC20x20.
Anyone able to send me a relatively recent IOS and compatible FP for a ubr10012 with pre4? Preferably 12.2.33-sch5 but I'm not picky. tryingtolab@gmail.com
Is there any way to get grey market licenses for BSR 64000HD running SRM10G cards? Arris sales guys told me they are no longer selling licenses. Does anyone know if it is possible to purchase a used chassis that is already fully licensed?
First I just want to thank everyone on these forums, I have been able to find countless valuable tidbits to solve some of the issues I have been having.
That being said, I could not find any information to point me in the right direction.
What types are people using and how are you keeping everything nice and tidy? These super dense platforms are nice but things are getting messy. Tips appreciated!
Hello,
Does anyone have a reference to the ARRIS E6000 chassis-specific MIBS and perhaps which OID is used for modem per upstream modem counts or modem per mac-domain modem counts?
