Hi Gurus, I need your help on the following topology:
I am have
( [Internet + VoIP Traffic)-CPE===>CM====>CMTS=====>PE. Eventually, I will use two VRFs to separate Internet and VoIP traffic on the PE.
However, I intend to do NATting on the CM such that
Internet traffic would be natted to a public IP interface received from the CMTS while
VoIP traffic would be natted to another public address also receive from the CMTS.
But, I am having single physical cable interface between CM and CMTS.
Hi,
Can anyone give me an example of filtering multicast traffic in direction from CM toward CMTS. I am using Cisco ubr10k for Multicast over Docsis where 4 freqs are spanned to other widebands. In Downstream direction everything is ok, but i wanted to filter possible injection of multicast traffic (from end users) in upstream direction.
Hello dear collaborators, I am currently installing a provisioning system for cable modems mounted in debian 8 and I just need to configure the files for cable modems.
I was wondering if anyone could help me with a configuration file for cmts motorola bsr 2000 or bootfile. I would be most grateful.
Hi,
I am using CISCO CBR8 . Each physical Upstream configured for 4 logical upstreams. Can I use different modulation profile for different logical upstreams of same physical upstream??
Has anyone had any success using 10G ports on the BSR 64K? We are seeing some issues with TCP when we put some traffic load on the CMTS. I noticed something a little scary in some release notes:
Downstream TCP performance may be degraded when
source data is received on the SRM10G module 10G port with
a burst speed greater than 4 Gbps.
No workaround.
This problem is likely to occur only in pure
10G networks with an edge device sourcing
data to a single endpoint at 10 Gbps.
I need the CMs to log information through snmp to the CMTS. I know exactly how to do this with Cisco, but Motorola is a whole new world for me.
CPEs are already navigating through the CMTS, but i can't extract any information with SNMP although the aprovisioning .bin is working fine and has the SNMP parameters.
I`m still lacking the information of the currently IP utilization of ours customer and I`ve to know how to do that.
What the community suggest?
Is the IPDR recommended? What software to use (commercial option)?
What about SNMP? The problem here is to do something from the beggining and I don`t have a way to do that.
