I am having trouble with the bandwidth and latency toward random CMs only during peak hours ( 19:00 ~ 22:00 +-1)
Even if there is a good connection, the utilization in all of the 8 DS channels and 4 US channels are not above 70% ( Max ) and there is no traffic done from client's side still random CMs have high ping, up to 4000 ms.
Hi every body ,
I am a Engineer IT operation CMTS , i have a trouble like the subject of topic : The cable modem is online but CMTS can't ping , so we can't get the infomation of PWR , Mer , ... cable modem via SNMP - command line "cable modem remote query" . when i check the status on DHCP PNR , CNR of MAC address cable modem , it is avaible . Im working with a very interesting issue. Worldwide there is a BIG issue with Intel Puma based cable modems. These are in use all over the world. These ALL have a CVSSv3 7.3 rated DoS attack that cannot be blocked at the ISP of a MSO because the hardware would cost $1M USD per ISP hub installation. The main issue is that these MAJOR ISPs are going 40Gbps and 100Gbps connections going to single CMTS boxes. Dealing with 10's of millions of clients.
Even though I have configured with all possible setting, the scenario is still the same.i.e Single Logical channel 6/0/2:2 is not functioning. Can anyone help me through out this??
