I have some some Arris CMTS 1000 for testing CATV measurement equipments.
Now I have trouble. Some equipments can't link up to CMTS 1000.
Therefor I want to change firmware version (Current my CMTS1000 version is 3.3.318).
But I don't have firmware files.
We finally got our block of IPv6 addresses and are hoping to be able to utilize them. I was curious to know how different the setup would have to be for IPv6 vs IPv4 and are there any issues we needed to be aware of ahead of time? Everything on our network is currently still IPv4 but our DHCP server supports both IPv6 and IPv4 so at least on that side we are covered. We have yet to deploy DOCSIS 3 as well.
- CMTS uBR10K with PRE-4 with two channels of upstream 6.4Mhz in QPSK modulation. on average 150-200 only cables modens docsis 2.0 on each channel beyond 3.0
I intend to pass the upstream channels to 16QAM modulation with minimal impact due to the SNR. If SNR increase I want the modulation to pass to QPSK. I will use the following modulation-profine:
i see mcasts are on qam/ofdm interface.. but i cannot see them behind cable modem.
I have mcast grroup defined in cable modem config file. Actually that config file worked ubr7200 setup.
Any idea where could be a problem? are there any extra settings for casa cmts?
I was tasked to test the data communication between the DAH100 and the modem EPC3010.So i am not sure what other things to use.Is RG-6 cable with F-connectors okey ?And how to connect 2 outputs(downstream upstream) into modem , i guess i should use some kind of splitter right?
Does anyone know if the command "cable helper-address" which provides the same function as "ip helper-address" is also affected by this issue? I guess yes, but the article just refer to "ip helper-address".
Unfortunately I do not have access to cisco support. Can someone send me the newest IOS software:
