Hello everybody!

Does the modem need a boot file to accept first downstream and upstream frequencies specified in the configuration, or does the modem first need to find the frequencies and then download the bootfile?

Now modem just scan for frequencies, but cant take even downstream, but spectrometer shows all the frequencies

that Sunday there was a very strange event. out of nowhere the CPU consumption of 3 different CMTS in 3 different cities increased by around 15%. any idea or has anyone been there?

The following cards do not boot on BSR64000
Do you know how to improve it?

some of you have been lucky with the HITRON cable modem ODI / Mib.
I occupy one to enter remotely through the wan ip.
if they can share them.

Does anyone have experience with the PRE5 ?

Cisco website has hardware installation guides, but there are no configuration guides.

I don't have a uBR10k support contract any more, so couldn't hassle Cisco to provide me any information.

Information that I have discovered so far :

Each PRE5 has 4 x SFP+ ports for WAN backhaul

* Te0/0/0 - PRE-A, WAN backhaul 0
* Te0/0/1 - PRE-A, WAN backhaul 1
* Te0/0/2 - PRE-A, WAN backhaul 2
* Te0/0/3 - PRE-A, WAN backhaul 3

We have SB6120 modems on our network which we need to upgrade. Current version on the modems is "SB612X-1.0.3.5-SCM00-NOSH".

Can anyone help me find the latest firmware for these modems?

I've had mixed results when attempting to perform a command like the following:

cable modem xxxx.xxxx.xxxx dbc downstream bonding-group XXXX

Sometimes it goes without an error, other times I get the following:

% Move failed on CMTS module, errno = S_lbm_DBC_NOT_SUPPORTED_WITHOUT_TCC_ENCODING

Everything is set up the same on this CMTS, so I'm not sure why this happens.

I have seen in the past but don't remember what did I change now, because this parameter is empty now.
Does anybody know how to configure that you could see/check the cfg file name and FW version from the CMTS?

show cable modem verbose | include "Configuration file name"
Configuration file name :n/a

show cable modem verbose | include "sysDescr"
sysDescr :n/a

I don't know what parameter must be added into the config file.
