in our little plant a cisco cmts ubr7246 with NPE-G1 12.3(23) and an old uBR-MC28u (EuroDOCSIS 2) Linecard is working fine until now we connected the AVM Fritzbox 6660 to it.
The Router´s LED is blinking and in GUI Downstream Channel found ist displayed but nothing more.
In CMTS the modem isn´t there.
So i think the Box doesn´t come in Upstream Ranging but doesn´t know why.
Maybe some of you have the same problem ? Maybe it isn´t downward compatible.
All other Boxes are perfectly online. And tested other 6660 (the same problem).
Can anyone explain to me if seeing 50+ volt AC on a coax line (with multimeter BLACK to ground RED to coax connected to docsis equipment) at the demarcation is a problem that will cause signal drop outs? None of the equipment we use has a 3 prong plug and most consumer electronics don't either so I would expect to see these readings since all of the 2 prong equipment on that circuit would be looking for the shortest patch to ground.
We have +30 Casa C3200 running at different sites, and they are (through a different ISP) connected with BGP in a VPN (full mesh) network.
Two other sites where we have core routers are also connected to the VPN (to provide the internet access).
The issue we've been having is rather strange, and i wonder if anyone else use the Casa C3200 with BGP (or done in the past), and have experience with the following issue?
does anyone know if and how to do a complete factory reset on a SEM V12? I'm having an issue after changing the IP address along with the subnet and gateway. now it wont let me in other than with the serial cable??
I'm having an issue regarding with the cable modems from cisco 7246. But now I'm transferring them to CISCO UBR10K with new DS and US channels. These cable modems only recognized the previous DS and US channels(last settings). And now as I transferred them to new UBR10K , the UBR cannot detect any cable modems. Do we have a command for this so that the cable modems can scan the new DS and US channels? Thanks in advance
