I work for a small cable operator and we recently purchased a CUDA 1000 CMTS. We are trying to figure out how to set this up, seeing as we only use ARRIS CMTS's currently. We have the downstream and upstream configured correctly, but can't seem to get a modem to lock on (online light solid). We are not sure how to get the modem to get back to the CMTS. The modem shows, "DHCP Discover".

If someone could give me any help on setting up this CUDA 1000, I would appreciate it.

Need to set up a cable modem bench test to run the modems prior to install. Need to test multiple modems at the time. Need pass fail, RF and usb test.
Not too familiar with bench testing. Looking for an economical solutions to start up.

Has anyone seen this error:

EH_event: fatal event: Assertion failed, file al_timer.c, line 194

I get it randomly and the CMTS 1500 reboots then everything seems find. Does anyone have a list of all of the errors and the descriptions? Over the years I've seen many errors. I have a friend over seas that fixes the upconverters, but I'm not sure what he knows about this stuff. I'll ask him.

I have the following situation. We have a Motorola CMTS BSR2000 with 1 DS port and 4 US ports. Everytime an optical transmitter goes turned off on the street, our CMTS in head-end blocked, the front leds shows no failure and logs doesn't seems to give any clue. The solution is to restart the CMTS, to switch turned off then to switch to turn on.

Anyone had this rare behaviour?

I have a CMTS UBR-7242vx m28u he has 4 cards and NPE-G1. would make it possible to setup a Downstream Channel Bonding maybe just changing the NPE-G1 by a NPE-G2 or necessarily the cards must be DOCSIS 3/0?

As I researched the BSR 64000 provides to do this. The plates are 2.0 and DOCSIS downstream channel bonding can configure.

I'm trying to implement CM steering over my UBR10k using SCE6 IOS.
for some reasons the modems are ignoring the TLVs that point them to the required or forbiden attribute masks.

BTW I'm using the excentis DOCSIS config file editor

did some one faced similar issues with CM steering before?

I'm very new to CM's in general due to someone leaving the company but have made some head way.
We are doing Docsis 2 on all our cm's now have are currently offering a speed of 9 Meg dn and 1 Meg up.
We have a few customer who need more speed, so I created a package of 15 dn and 5 up and applied it to a test modem in our building whee the cmts is located.
I can get the 15 dn but can only get 2.6 up, I can't seem to find where the problem on the up load speed is.
Hope someone on here can provide some help.
