Can someone post a config file for an ARRIS TM822? I'm familiar with the TM402, TM502 and TM602. They would allow me to use two config files. One for the modem and a mtamac.bin for the emta. Do the TM822s support that? It think it's called guip.
I use static defininitions for each cable modem / MTA in DHCP configuration.
I'd like to add definition (class), that for each CM's model, first DHCP check if software is correct (opt-43),
and than:
- if it's different than expected - modem gets a config that tell him to make a SW upgrade
- if it's correct - modem get's his normal,"operational" config defined in static binding and logs normally.
I started docsis server and i get error when arrived the first dhcp request.
Error message: "[ 1416.256090] docsis_server[9919]: segfault at bf010001 ip 0804ecd8 sp bf914f90 error 4 in docsis_server[8048000+19000]"
What did I wrong
I use Debian GNU/Linux 6.0.
Please send me any suggestion, what can i do
Sorry for my english.

If you're an RF guy and need to add Internet and telephone to your system, I can help. This forum is great for figuring it out if you have the time, patience and computer background to do so. I understand the private cable can be a tight budget business at first and even on going. I know, I have systems of my own. I started from scratch back in 2001 and have developed a software package that does all of the following:
We recently received some iNovo cable modems for tryout, and as far as our engineering department tell us, they work ok and comply with the Cablelabs regulations.
The modems support DOCSIS 3.0, with 8x4 channel bonding.
My question for you guys is, if you have worked with this make before, and what's your opinion about it.
