Our client is looking for a CMTS Engineer for a 4-month contract to hire in Jacksonville Florida.
Responsibilities:
-Responsible for planning, engineering, and project managing Strategic CMTS placement across the network
-Responsible for on-call network support
-Provide installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the device
-SME in CMTS by providing technical and analytical guidance to the LMC
-Strong knowlege of OSPF, BGP, IP, routing, DHCP, DNS, cable modems
-Presentation skills needed
-CMTS configuration and troubleshooting in Legacy, DOCSIS 2.0 and DOCSIS 3.0
Preffered:
*5 years RF distribution-system theory preferred
*Design experience with Node Combining Plans
*CCNA or higher preferred
*Bachelor's preferred
