If you arent dealing with any/many DOCSIS 2.0 modems, then you should enable as few primaries as possible
For example if the "smallest" modems you have are 4x4, then suggest you only set every 4th DS to be primary
If smallest is 8x4, then only set every 8th
If smallest is 16x4, then only set every 16th
etc
i have all docsis 3.0 8x4 & 24x8.
