Splitter/combiner management

What types are people using and how are you keeping everything nice and tidy? These super dense platforms are nice but things are getting messy. Tips appreciated!

Thanks

No magic answer I reckon?

No magic answer I reckon?

Like you say, some of the equipment is crazy dense, just a few mm between adjacent f-connectors.

I just try to keep cables from combiner/optical equipment as horizontal as possible until it get to side of rack, and then straight down. Velcro loops.

RG59 headend cable is a lot easier to keep tidy compared to RG6.
There are some suppliers that nice looking RG59 cable bundles (try googling mini 59 headend cable).

I've seen some pretty fancy cabling at a big local operator, where rather than using the standard Cisco cables looms and having lots of connectors and length left over, they have manufactured their own cables with just the right numbers of connectors and length to fit their standard rack layout.

Yeah, I've discovered the mini rg59... Let's just say I'm a little late to the party on that. Gonna get a spool and a ton of connectors and disappear for a couple of days. My plan was to make my own harnesses as the White Sands cables seem to have some issues with connector quality from time to time, plus I do prefer things that fit rather than having excess cable. I just hoped there was something obvious I was missing with the combiners. Still holding out hope!

We use Technetix HS-series.

We use Technetix HS-series. About 2-3x price of a normal splitter but probably 1/4 of a Maxnet.

You mount them to a 19" bracket. Look at: https://files.technetix.com/pdf/brochures/Flexible_Panel_Solution_brochu...
