We are looking for small cable cos that presently bill manually or use OTS (Off the shelf) billing solutions to bill their customers and have the burning desire but lack the resources to purchase or build and deploy a fully functional cable video/data/voip billing system.
We are prepared to do the heavy lifting on the software development side for free while you sit back and provide us the technical requirements for billing, set top box control from HITS, NAS-RAC etc. We are familiar with data modem and emta configuration and can bring that expertise to the table within the billing solution.
In exchange we will offer you free use and support of the resulting software and code escrow if the company fails to provide you support.
Our intention is to develop the software in 6-8 months and field test it for free for a period of 6 months.
We would prefer US operators but overseas English speaking operators are welcome. We do not have non-english speaking resources.

I am currently developing some instrumentation for a system we are purchasing. I've used whmcs as a billing system with our ISP and that may be a good jump. You would only need a module for add/dropping cable modems.

I'm a private cable operator with a CS degree. I wrote my own. I didn't want to use quackbooks and needed to manage cable modem data, billing data, address data and workorder data without double entry. The heavy lifting is done. Contact me.
