HELP with Docsis 3.0 bonding

I need some assistance trying to get DS channel bonding working on a Cisco 7225VXR. I have a few modems online and functioning properly but I can't seem to get the modem to lock on the other 3 DS using channel bonding. From what I've read I think everything is configured properly. This is my first 3.0 attempt. Were looking to deploy 3.0 later this year and would like to get some testing/breaking completed before we have to deploy. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. One other question is, are there any special requirements in the modem config file to tell it to use channel bonding?

I've obviously removed IP addresses for security purposes, as my gear is publicly addressed.

I have US bonding configured but it's not as important as getting DS bonding working.

I've tried added 'cable mtc-mode' on 'int cab 1/0' per Cisco documentation, no dice. My only other thought is the modem config file??

That should get you up and running... 4 bonded upstreams is nice in the lab, but unrealistic in practice unless you have a 65mhz digital return system.

I have everything set up per your(both) instructions. I think the problem now is the modem config file I'm using only has the QOS settings for DOCSIS 1.0, not 1.1 like it needs to be. Can anyone help me out by putting a 1.1 complaint QOS modem config file up for me to compare to?

I've made probably 10 different files none of which work, using Arris PacketACE. Issuing the 'show cable modem' command I see that the modems will fail after getting to a 'reject(c)' state. Checked the Cisco DOCS and I know its not the cable admission control because its not set up on the CMTS. So the only thing I can think of is the security(BPI+?) or CoS, but isn't CoS a DOCSIS 1.0 parameter?

In the modem config, yes you need the docsis 2.0 switch turned on. As for it going into reject state, it has something to do with the way its setting that encryption key in the config when you save it, I've never been able to get a standard password to work in packetace, I've always had to save the file, open it with motorola's tool, put the hmac password in, and hit save.

Yes, you can specify a frequency, however, in some cases, it may prevent your modem from bonding to multiple channels, so its usually a good idea to leave it out.

It is more preferable to use a a preset scan frequency index mib, such as arris's
arrisCmDevPresetFrequencyIndex
