Dual Tuner, Split Tuner, Dual Split Tuner, Capture windows...

Our customer in Europe wants to bond 8 downstreams in two groups of four. These two groupings are around 300MHz apart. We sent a TCM 470 which claims "64 MHz capture window split into two windows of 32 MHz thanks to the integrated dual tuner solution". Our customer reported that though he could use two groups of four, all 8 channels had to be within a 100 MHz block of spectrum. Our distributor said our customer was wrong, but then he did his own testing and agreed that the TCM470 didn't have two fully independent tuners.

The EPC 3010 was recommended as being capable of our customers requirement. Can anybody confirm this?

How do I interpret the CM spec sheet to know that the modem is capable. I would have thought that the TCM470 spec was pretty clear.

The same with TWG870

The same in the specs from Thomson TWG870 (now Technicolor)
i can bond 8 channels near together, but 1 set on 500Mhz and the other set on 700Mhz doesn't work.
strange, my distributor will check that

I never thought about having

I never thought about having the bands so far apart. I can test that on a dpc3010 and an Arris version as well, next week. Not on euro-docsis, but if it works on one, it should work on the other.

I can confirm that the Cisco

I can confirm that the Cisco DPC3010 Did lock and bond all 8 channels with the first set starting at 507mhz, and the second set starting at 729mhz.
Arris DG950 - Did NOT work (so one can assume, a cm900 wouldn't either)
Arris 820A - Did NOT work.

I think the 100MHz window

I think the 100MHz window limitation is pretty common
