The DOCIS RFI specifications

The DOCIS RFI specifications explain what the parameters are; you could look at some examples from other programs to see what might go in them (eg. some of the example config files in the .zip download of https://sourceforge.net/projects/docsis/ ).

Also the docsis_server page says it can generate dynamic config files, which might be worth looking at (I've not used it myself).
