uBR7246 + mc88v

Hey guys,

Im trying to get a new mc88v working and I cant even get a modem to register at all. Not doing any bonding... no DOCSIS 3... Any idea what I might have wrong?

Phlee
Allocate bandwidth

Can't quite remember if you need to have fiber nodes configured if your not going to bond, but at the moment on your Integrated-cable interface you need to specify how much of the 38Mbps channel you want to allocate for non bonded modems. I'd do something like:

interface Integrated-Cable3/0:0
cable bundle 1
cable dynamic-bw-sharing
cable rf-bandwidth-percent 70
!
interface Integrated-Cable3/0:1
cable bundle 1
cable dynamic-bw-sharing
cable rf-bandwidth-percent 70
!
interface Integrated-Cable3/0:2
cable bundle 1
cable dynamic-bw-sharing
cable rf-bandwidth-percent 70
!
interface Integrated-Cable3/0:3
cable bundle 1
cable dynamic-bw-sharing
cable rf-bandwidth-percent 70

On a side note, is it a 7246VXR? What is the Routing engine installed? NPE-G1/2? I was told without the "3.0" bundle upgrade for that chassis
it isn't capable of doing upstream bonding. The cost of the bundle upgrade was more than purchasing a 7225. Hope this helps,

Well that did it....I swear I

Well that did it....I swear I tried that, but I must have missed something. Any harm in rf-bandwidth-percent 100? Not planning on any bonding on this system.
