I am having trouble on bonding more than 1 Upstream in BSR64K.

what version software are you running? I'm asking because I was looking for 8.x bootroms

Hello there

To my understanding , that is for bonding 3 RF channels.
While i want to have 3 Upstream RF channels in the interface cable, each upstream will serve to different areas. So their Tx and Rx will be different for each one.

So one upstream consisting of 4 active logical channels,by my choice, should led to a connection of the cable modem with 4 US of port 0/0.
At the moment i am working in a LAB and i have physically connected only US 0/0.
When i config the US bonding as you wrote, even that i have physically connected only US 0/0 the modems connect with the 3 Upstreams.

I am new to BSR , i worked previously with CASA Systems and they have pretty simple configurations of mac-domain, service groups etc.
I am confused, on that command purpose.

I am using 7113 version

I'm a little confused. you have one physical upstream port with four frequencies, but you want one frequency to go to one node and another frequency to come from another node, did I understand that right?
one physical port with two, three, four or six frequencies would be used by all the nodes and bonded. if your looking to have only two frequencies go to one node and the other two frequencies go to another node, you would need to create another cable interface with just the two frequencies.
I would recommend using two upstream ports with it's own frequencies and split the return to go into each upstream port. this limits capacity. I would just do the 3 or 4 upstream frequencies as utilization will go up within a year or so anyway and you'll be ahead of the demand before you need to do anything.
another option for modems to be on a single upstream is add the frequency to the modem file and remove load balance

Hi

I managed to solve my issue.
Apparently i have misunderstood the reference of X and Y of the command cable bind upstream X/Y under interface cable 0/0.

So i had to bind as below
...
cable bind upstream 0/1,0/2,0/3,0/4,1/1,1/2,1/3,1/4,2/1,2/2,2/3,2/4
...
Also the syntax below was confusing me but after doing some tests i managed to understand that.
so i configure it as below
...
cable upstream bonding-group 9014 0/1/0 0/2/0 0/3/0 0/4/0
cable upstream bonding-group 9124 1/1/0 1/2/0 1/3/0 1/4/0
cable upstream bonding-group 9224 2/1/0 2/2/0 2/3/0 2/4/0

In other words i did as you said in the first reply, i just added another channel to make it 4 Upstreams.

Hi Endrit
I should have read your title to the post better, I've not seen in the past the use of a single upstream frequency for just one node and so on. the modem config, like I mentioned earlier without the upstream bonding would get you what your looking to do. but you are better off doing the channel bonding as long as your cable plant can support.
here's a cable tip.. if you go from a single upstream carrier to four carriers and your plant isn't swept to support it and you find the laser clipping, add a 4 pad at the node and remove it at the headend going into the cmts receiver. this sounds like nothing is gained, but the additional power into the optic return transmitter at the node will clip from the additional power. padding and removing padding at the other end keeps it from clipping.
having the cable plant swept is the best way to make things work right, but in a pinch where you need to start service and can't wait for the sweeping to be done, it has worked for me in a few cable plants in South America and the USA.
