Discussion about TIPS and Tricks

Hello,

I was reading about many topics for DOCSIS, especially for the Cisco uBR10k but again i'm not sattisfied with the things that i know and unterstand.

I wanted to ask here about some topics, about some Real experiences (tips, tricks) and know-how.-
Maybe someone from you can give me better and short answers regarding this topics.

- Dynamic Bandwidth Sharing for the wideband interface especially remaining percent .
What's will happen if i use this configuration
interface Integrated-Cable6/0/0:0
cable rf-bandwidth-percent 30

interface Integrated-Cable6/0/0:0
cable rf-bandwidth-percent 30

interface Integrated-Cable6/0/0:0
cable rf-bandwidth-percent 30

interface Integrated-Cable6/0/0:0
cable rf-bandwidth-percent 30

interface Wideband-Cable5/0/0:0
cable bundle 1
cable rf-channel 0 bandwidth-percent 20remaining ratio 100
cable rf-channel 1 bandwidth-percent 20 remaining ratio 100
cable rf-channel 2 bandwidth-percent 20 remaining ratio 100
cable rf-channel 3 bandwidth-percent 20 remaining ratio 100

50% of the traffic are reserved ( 30 only for DOCSIS2.0 modems ) and 20(for docsis3.0modems)(does it have a meaning for the primary channels too or only for docsis 2.0 modems) - is there any situation that you would use this config.
To the Wideband cable i have remaining ratio 100 - it means the wideband modems could get all the 50% if needed.
But what will happen to the DOCSIS 2.0 modems ( as i understand they will use only 30% ( +1% of the traffic ( because remaining ration is 1% by default if we don't use it ( or am i wrong)

- Treatment of Upstream Ingress Noise (Pre-Equalization, Dynamic Modulation Profiles, Ingress Noise Cancellation, etc.)

- Provisioned attribute mask (prevention against LTE and DVB-T irradiation)

- Does anybody use this : Docsis Sniffer / Docsis Tracer / Cable Monitor
(http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/cable/cmts/feature/guide/cmtsfg/ufg...)

- Any experience with IPv6 / DS-Lite

- Experiences Community WLAN via GRE-Tunnel

I just want to get some answers regarding your experiences with this topics.

Thank you very much for your response.

ScratOS
- Provisioned attribute mask

- Provisioned attribute mask (prevention against LTE and DVB-T irradiation)
this is rather for control of the DOCSIS WB. Don't setup QAM in that freq.
- Does anybody use this : Docsis Sniffer / Docsis Tracer / Cable Monitor
Yes. It works ok.
- Any experience with IPv6 / DS-Lite
Works very good.
-Experiences Community WLAN via GRE-Tunnel
SW on the modem need to support this. You will need addtional device for softgre. Or do this in other way.
